Print-ready design guide
The essentials that make your design print exactly as you imagine — with us or any print shop.
Bleed — 3 mm
Extend backgrounds and images 3 mm beyond the edge on every side, so no white line appears after cutting.
Trim line
The final size after cutting, e.g. a business card is 90 × 50 mm.
Safe area — 3–5 mm inside
Keep all text, logos and numbers inside. Anything close to the trim may be cut off.
Key rules
Resolution
300 DPI at actual size. Web/social images are usually 72 DPI and print pixelated.
Colour
Design in CMYK. Screen colours (RGB) are brighter, so expect small shifts — especially bright blues and greens.
Black
Text: 100% K only. Large areas: rich black (C40 M30 Y30 K100) for a deep, even black.
Fonts
Convert text to outlines or include the font files.
Thin lines
Minimum line weight 0.25 pt (~0.1 mm); smallest readable text about 6 pt.
File format
PDF is best. High-resolution PNG/JPG is fine. Logos: transparent PNG or SVG.
Two sides
Upload each side as a separate file at the same size.
Proofread
Check spelling and numbers (phone, email). Mistakes in your file are printed as they are.
